Mary Breen, founder and clinical director at Repose
Therapy is an artistic collaboration between two truth-seekers: Together we sculpt, transforming our shapes, both the artist, both the clay. We evolve and the universe renews.

Welcome

Mary Breen is the founder and clinical director of Repose. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP®). Mary has spent nearly two decades supporting people through stress, trauma, and loss. She especially enjoys working with entrepreneurs and with women between the ages of 30 and 65.

Time with Mary feels steady and unhurried. She believes real growth cannot be rushed. It unfolds over time, and she follows the pace of each person's nervous system. Her work makes room for the mind, the body, and the spirit.

Working together

How Mary can support you

People often come to Mary for support with trauma, anxiety, and stress, and with the way these can live in the nervous system. She also works with grief and loss, women's issues, and maternal mental health. Mary supports people who want help making sense of past psychedelic experiences, often called psychedelic integration.

Mary's hope is that clients come home to themselves. She hopes they grow a deeper sense of safety, wholeness, and confidence. Life will still bring challenges. Over time, clients may find they have more capacity to meet those challenges with ease, presence, and trust in themselves.

Her approach

Mary's approach

Mary's approach is integrative and attends to the whole person. She draws on Somatic Experiencing® (SE), a body-based approach to stress and trauma, and on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She also uses parts work, psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) when it fits.

Sessions with Mary may include breathwork, mindfulness, and restorative, yoga-informed practices. These can help the nervous system settle and feel safer. The aim is to move beyond insight alone. Together, Mary and her clients work gently with the patterns that can keep people feeling stuck.

Why Mary

Why work with Mary

Mary believes lasting change comes from tending to the mind, body, and spirit together. She brings nearly two decades of experience to this integrative work.

Mary understands how chronic stress, trauma, grief, and anxiety can shape both emotional and physical well-being. Whether someone is facing complex trauma, OCD, burnout, or a major life transition, she tailors therapy to their needs and pace.

One of Mary's main goals is to help clients build tools, insight, and confidence that last after therapy ends. She sees therapy as a collaboration that grows self-awareness, emotional flexibility, and resilience.
