Madeline Manning, psychotherapist at Repose
I believe healing begins when we stop fighting our internal experience and start listening to it. My hope is that clients leave therapy feeling more connected to themselves, more trusting of their bodies, and more confident navigating life's challenges with resilience and self-compassion.

Welcome

Madeline Manning is a psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) at Repose. She enjoys working with people who want a stronger relationship with their emotions and inner experience. Madeline helps clients befriend that inner world and notice how emotions are held in the body.

She also enjoys working with couples. Together they explore the nervous system and attachment patterns that shape a relationship. Working with Madeline is gentle and curious, with a focus on listening to your inner experience rather than fighting it. Over time, the work aims to build self-awareness, emotional flexibility, and nervous system resilience.

Working together

How Madeline can support you

People often come to Madeline for support with anxiety, trauma, and relationship concerns. She also works with family conflict and body image. Some clients come to her when their emotions or nervous system often feel overwhelmed, sometimes called dysregulation.

Madeline hopes clients leave therapy with more self-trust and a deeper connection to their emotions and body. Together, you work to understand the patterns that keep you feeling stuck. You also build capacity to meet life's challenges with more flexibility and resilience. Her aim is for clients to respond to themselves with greater compassion, confidence, and authenticity.

Her approach

Madeline's approach

Madeline's work is somatic and nervous system informed. She draws on Somatic Experiencing (SE) and mindfulness-based practices to help clients notice how emotions, body, and nervous system connect. She also brings in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a form of parts work, along with attachment-based approaches and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Her work is trauma-informed throughout. With an extensive background in mindfulness and yoga, Madeline may weave in yoga-informed and body-based practices. These support body awareness, presence, and tools for regulation.
