Welcome

Kaely Phelps is a psychotherapist and the Associate Clinical Director at Repose. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and sees clients online. Kaely most enjoys long-term work with people who feel ready to go beyond coping skills. Many of her clients want to understand themselves more deeply.

Working with Kaely feels attentive and unhurried. She listens to what is said out loud. She also notices what is happening underneath, in the body and in the space between you. The pace is set with care, so there is room to open up when it feels safe.

Working together

How Kaely can support you

People often come to Kaely for support with trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. She also works with grief and with OCD. Kaely sees couples as well as individuals.

Kaely hopes clients feel safe enough to open up and explore their histories. Over time, they may begin to loosen tightly held beliefs and patterns. These are often the ones that leave a person feeling stuck.

Her approach

Kaely's approach

Kaely's work is somatic and relational. She draws on psychodynamic and attachment-oriented therapy. These approaches look at how early relationships can shape the way we connect today.

She also uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an approach designed to help people process distressing memories. Alongside talking, Kaely pays attention to the body and the nervous system. Together, these offer more than one way to understand what a person is carrying.

Why Kaely

Why work with Kaely

Kaely looks below what is spoken aloud. She tunes in to what is happening in the body and the nervous system as you talk.

She also pays attention to the relationship itself. What happens between client and therapist in the room can offer its own insight.
