Does Repose accept insurance?

Yes. Many Repose therapists are in-network with the plans listed here. With these plans, you usually pay only your copay at each session.

Repose also accepts plans underwritten by Aetna and Northwell Direct, such as 32BJ SEIU, 1199 SEIU, Meritain Health, Foreign Service Benefit Plan, IBA, and Personify Health.

Out-of-network benefits

Using out-of-network benefits

With other plans, Repose is out-of-network. Many plans reimburse part of the cost of out-of-network therapy. Our Client Care Team can help you check your benefits, and we can provide monthly statements (superbills) or courtesy claim submissions.

Reduced-rate sessions

Does Repose offer reduced-rate sessions?

Yes, in limited numbers. Our Advanced Clinical Fellowship trains new therapists in Repose's approach under close supervision, and fellows offer sessions at reduced rates, typically $45 to $125 per session. Availability varies, and sessions may be virtual or in person.

If reduced-rate sessions are not available, we are happy to recommend low-fee and insurance-based options.

Questions about cost

What will my copay be?
It depends on your plan. With the in-network plans we accept, copays are usually between $17 and $40. Copays are due at each session.
Can I use insurance for couples or family therapy?
No. Repose does not bill insurance for couples or family therapy, because insurance requires one person to carry a diagnosis and the work focuses on the relationship. These sessions are self-pay. Couples and families sign a consent to opt out of insurance, and we do not provide superbills for these sessions.
Is group therapy covered?
Group therapy led by a licensed therapist is often covered in-network or through out-of-network benefits. We verify your benefits before your first session.
How does payment work?
Payment, or your copay, is due at the start of each session by card on file through our secure client portal, where you can also view billing documents.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed sessions are charged the full session fee. If you use insurance, the charge is the full amount insurance would have paid, not only the copay.
Why isn't Repose in-network with every plan?
Being out-of-network with most plans lets our therapists keep reasonable caseloads, take time for training and supervision, and shape care around you rather than around plan limits.
What if I cannot afford therapy right now?
Ask about reduced-rate sessions. If they are not available, our Client Care Team can share low-fee and insurance-based options.
What is a deductible?
A deductible is the amount you pay for covered services before your insurance starts to pay. For example, with a $500 deductible, you pay the first $500 of covered services yourself.
