I become your companion as you embark on your journey towards coping healing and recovery. My therapeutic style is to be present with you, understand your experience, and actively assess how I can tailor my treatment to best serve your needs. I celebrate your uniqueness and strive to create a space that feels authentically yours and safe enough for you to engage in deeper exploration. Through this, you will receive the opportunity to nourish the connection you have with yourself and others.
I work from a holistic, mindful, and person-centered approach. I integrate the pillars of different behavior therapies, affirming and judgment-free questioning, and past exploration within the treatment I provide. Through an amalgamation of these approaches, I hope to support you in recognizing your patterns, understanding the purpose of unhelpful behaviors, overcoming perceived barriers to reaching your potential, and improving your mind-body connection to gain an awareness of your needs and triggers.
I honor diversity and pride myself in being able to work with individuals representing different backgrounds and identities. I have been trained to work from a multicultural, trauma-informed and gender affirmative lens. I have experience working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, schizophrenia, PTSD, and acculturation issues. Most importantly, I have experience working with folks as they attempt to navigate the human experience.
You’re doing the best you can with the resources and awareness you currently have. During our work together we will aim to continue building your arsenal of resources, tools, and skills that would make it easier for you to combat the inevitable stressors of life. The goal is not to avoid stormy weather but to weather any storm!
