Welcome!

Kathryn is a trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist based in Union Square, New York City, offering both in-person and virtual sessions to clients across New York and New Jersey.
Her work centers on creating a space that feels warm, safe, and genuinely collaborative — one where clients can slow down, breathe, and get curious about their own story. How Kathryn Can Support You
Every person who walks into the office, or logs into a virtual session, is carrying something different. When worry, overwhelm, or low mood have started to feel like the background noise of life, Kathryn works with clients to understand what's driving them and build tools that actually fit how they live. For those navigating a career shift, relationship change, or simply feeling stuck, she helps clients slow down and get clear on what they need next.
As a queer therapist herself, Kathryn offers a space where a client's identity doesn't need to be explained or defended — it's already understood and welcomed. She also helps clients explore how their earliest experiences shaped the way they relate to themselves and others, and how those patterns show up in life today, moving clients from self-criticism toward a more compassionate, honest relationship with themselves — one that makes lasting change possible.
Sessions are available in-person in Union Square, Manhattan, or virtually for clients located anywhere in New York.

Kathryn’s Approach
Kathryn's approach to therapy is trauma-informed and evidence-based, but never clinical or detached — she believes healing happens through relationship, not just technique.
She holds the belief that our beliefs, patterns, and ways of relating to ourselves and others are often shaped by our earliest experiences. In session, she gently helps clients explore those connections, not to dwell on the past, but to understand it clearly enough that it stops running the present. From there, she works with clients toward real, intentional change.
Kathryn brings curiosity, compassion, and yes — playfulness — into the room. Therapy doesn't have to feel heavy all the time to be meaningful, and she creates space for clients to show up as their full selves: messy, funny, uncertain, hopeful, all of it.
At the center of her work are two things she believes are foundational to lasting healing: self-awareness and self-compassion. Without judgment, she helps clients look closely at their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and use that understanding to make choices that align with the life they want to create.
Rituals: yoga, running, reading, spending time with good people
Why Work With Kathryn?
Kathryn believes the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most powerful tools for healing — so building trust with each client is her first priority, not an afterthought.
As a queer woman, Kathryn brings both personal insight and clinical training to her work with LGBTQIA+ clients, who won't need to educate her on their identity before getting to the real work.
Kathryn draws from trauma-informed, evidence-based practices, and adapts them to who each client is, not the other way around.
In a world that rewards speed and productivity, Kathryn offers something different: permission to slow down, reflect, and actually feel what clients feel.
With both in-person sessions in Union Square and virtual sessions available across New York State, therapy fits into clients' lives, wherever they're starting from.
