Therapy can be a completely transformative experience when you find a therapist who deeply understands you. So many different painful experiences may bring you to therapy – or maybe you are just curious about it. When you feel comfortable being vulnerable and open, the opportunities for self-discovery and healing are infinite. It is my role to guide you through this process.
I bring a keen awareness of structural and systemic racism, through personal experience and extensive study. I use a strengths-based and client-centered approach to my work with clients. I believe in your ability to grow, change, and heal even in incredibly difficult circumstances. Though I may have more clinical experience, you will always be the expert of your own experiences.
I am here to help facilitate healing, growth, and change, but this is a collaboration. Upon starting therapy with me, we will become a team. We will determine your priorities for this process and create a personalized therapeutic plan from there. Beginning therapy can be scary. Seeking out help is a critical first step to healing, so be proud of yourself for even considering it.
